Natural Gas

Natural gas, as a commodity in the wholesale market, is a natural resource extracted from underground deposits and made available for sale in the wholesale market. This gas primarily consists of methane and can be used for various purposes, including electricity generation, heating, industrial processes, and as a raw material for chemical production.

In the wholesale market, natural gas can be sold to companies and organizations that use it in large quantities. These can include energy companies, factories, power plants, chemical facilities, and other consumers. Trading natural gas in the wholesale market can involve long-term contracts, gas quality specifications, delivery terms, and fixed or market-based prices.

The wholesale natural gas market plays a crucial role in ensuring a stable and reliable supply of this important energy resource to industries and consumers that require it in large volumes.

The process of storing natural gas and transporting it to consumers involves several key stages:

  • Extraction: Natural gas is extracted from underground deposits using wells.
  • Purification: The gas undergoes a purification process to remove impurities, moisture, and other contaminants that could affect its quality and safety.
  • Liquefaction (for Liquefied Natural Gas, LNG): In some cases, the gas is liquefied by cooling it to very low temperatures to become liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is convenient for long-distance transportation.
  • Transportation: Gas is transported from production sites to consumers using various means, such as pipelines, railways, or specialized LNG tankers.
  • Storage: Natural gas can be stored in underground reservoirs, gas storage facilities, or in the form of LNG in specialized tankers and storage facilities.
  • Distribution: After transportation and/or storage, gas is distributed through a network of pipelines, including pipelines of various diameters and major gas pipelines, to deliver it to end consumers. Liquefied natural gas returns to a gaseous state at special destinations at LNG terminals and is further transported and distributed through gas pipeline systems to end consumers.

The company INCERGO is ready to organize natural gas supplies, create conditions for its transportation and storage, as well as establish gas distribution in the wholesale market.

The company INCERGO can provide all types of intermediary services when entering into a contract for the purchase or sale of natural gas, including offering financial instruments for facilitating the transaction.
